A forward-looking, practice-focused course that equips senior academics, heads of department, deans, directors, institutional leaders, and academic administrators to lead digital transformation in higher education. It develops the vision and competence to govern with technology, embed digital pedagogy, foster institutional innovation, and build agile, future-ready academic institutions — grounded in African realities of connectivity, mobile-first access, and edtech leapfrogging. ASSESSMENT TYPE

Continuous Assessment & Practical Portfolio

Continuous Assessment (30%) — digital-transformation and digital-leadership case studies and applied exercises (evidence-verified per the CAA CPD verification convention). Participation & Professional Conduct (30%) — seminar and scenario engagement. Capstone Reflective Assessment (40%) — a Digital Transformation Plan (800–1,200 words) for the participant's department/unit or institution, covering a digital-strategy/future vision, a governance and infrastructure approach, a digital-pedagogy and faculty-support plan, and an innovation/AI and digital-equity roadmap. Credential: Certificate of Completion in Digital Leadership and the Future of Higher Education (2 CPD credits).

Technology-Driven Governance and Digital Infrastructure

Addresses the institutional and technical foundations of digital leadership. Teaches technology-driven governance and data/IT governance, digital strategy and infrastructure planning and investment, and the security, privacy, and standards frameworks responsible digital leadership requires.

Digital Pedagogy and Supporting Faculty
